"My Senior Fellow provided me with an opportunity to see what I can become. The experience allowed me to place the lessons I learned in the classroom into a broader
'real world' context."
Maria Carpiac MSW ’02

The Senior Fellows Program brings accomplished policy leaders onto campus to share ideas and enrich students’ educational experiences. The program enables University scholars and students to engage in meaningful dialogue with the Senior Fellows, who are drawn from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and represent a wide variety of political views.

Among other activities, Senior Fellows deliver policy briefings on current issues, serve as guest lecturers in the classrooms, and meet informally with students and faculty. One of the biggest benefits of the program is that each Senior Fellow acts as a mentor to one or more students in the School.
