Former President and CEO, Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. Jack Valenti
Best know for his 35 years as President of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Jack Valenti has a reputation as one of the most effective and influential forces on Capitol Hill. He has been the leading spokesperson and lobbyist for the film industry on a wide array of film and communications issues, including such topics as copyright protection, censorship, import-export and trade restrictions, as well as the development of the current voluntary film rating system. Earlier in his career, Valenti worked in the White House where he was a senior, and trusted, advisor to President Lyndon B. Johnson (who originally appointed him as President of MPAA).
